Lab grown diamonds and earth grown diamonds are exactly the same. They have the same chemical composition, hardness, thermal and electrical conductivity, and appearance.
Lab grown diamonds are grown from seeds cut from other diamonds. They grow layer by layer under intense heat and pressure in a controlled environment until they are large enough to cut and polish into the gemstones we love and cherish. This controlled growing process often leads to cleaner diamonds with less visual impurities and inclusions, meaning a lab diamond won’t just cost less but could very well look better too.
The only difference between lab grown and earth grown diamonds are their origin stories. Lab grown diamonds are grown in a lab over a couple of months. Earth grown diamonds are grown in the ground over a few billion years. Both processes result in the same thing; a stone with a 3D carbon tetrahedral lattice structure.
Its equivalent to making ice in a freezer or waiting for a lake to freeze over so you can chisel some ice out of it. At the end of the day, you have some frozen water.
Lab diamonds present the opportunity to own a larger diamond, higher quality diamond for less money than earth grown.
Let us know what you are looking for and let us get to work finding you the best deal, no strings attached.
